We are currently engaged in several international long-term projects for electrification of electric aircraft, ground vehicles and marine vehicles and are now commercializing our products in the rapidly growing UAV-market. We are therefore expanding our team to include several new positions, including an FEA Numerical Engineer.


We are searching for an FEA engineer that will join our product development team. You should have solid experience in Finite Element Analysis within multiple disciplines, specifically structural, fluid and thermal analysis. You will both work on specific customer projects for the development of electric machines and within RnD to develop novel product solutions, our engineering processes and software tools.

You will be a part of the team that develops best-in-class products, based on our proprietary production technology, FiberPrinting, for multiple exciting applications such as UAVs, Manned Aerial Vehicles, UUVs and heavy land-vehicles. You will be part of the development process from concept phase up to factory acceptance test.


Product development

  • Numerical analysis and design of electrical machine sub-systems and components
    • Thermal/fluid analysis and design of cooling systems, both air- and liquid-cooling
    • Structural analysis; static, dynamic, modal, fatigue etc.

Product R&D

  • Development of novel cooling concepts for electrical machines
  • Development of Alva's electrical machine development/optimization platform and process
    • Automation of FEA analysis
    • Development of analytical models
  • Research and development of our proprietary product technology to meet requirements of new market segments
  • Problem interpretation and solution generation
  • Prototyping and testing of potential solutions and improvements


You should have solid experience and knowledge of numerical analysis, thermal/fluid is of highest priority
Experience and education
  • M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechanical engineering, specialization FEA
  • 2 year of relevant work experience. Preferably more than 5 years.
  • Numerical analysis (Preferably experience within Ansys)
  • CAD (Preferably experience within Autodesk Inventor)
